FREE-STYLE AND GRECO-ROMAN WRESTLING CLASS OF KHARKOV STATE POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY (UKRAINE, ex-USSR)
Free-style and Greco-Roman wrestling class of Kharkov State Polytechnic University sport club was founded in 1965. The founder of the class is Honoured coach of Ukraine, international category referee, master of sports in free-style wrestling - Robert Khalatov.
During the time of existence of the class there were trained over 20 masters of sport, hundreds of candidates in masters of sport and sportsmen of various levels of experience. Wrestling team of Kharkov State Polytechnic University had been for many times the winner or Top 3 prize-winner of team championships among the Universities and other Higher Educational Establishments of Ukraine, and of various tournaments of national, regional and city level.
At the present moment there are over 500 students of our University who are into our class. Trainings are held every day in two wrestling gyms of the University. On this background there are various competitions - like Kharkov State Polytechnical University championships, Kharkov region championships among students, and a number of student or youth tournaments of national and international level are performed.
The class is coached by experienced, highly-skilled coaches, masters of sports in wrestling - like Robert Khalatov, Victor Titarenko, Sergey Bochkaryov, Sergey Grdzelidze and Vladimir Gorgadze.
Wrestling class of our University favors to harmonious development of our students and is popular among the students of our University.
